i know alot of you are going to say search; i did, and can't seem to find an answer. I found a deal on a 99 LS1 cluster, and I want to put it in my 97. First off, this is not so I can make it look faster; I want the cluster because there are more overlays for the V8's then for the 6's. I want the black overlays with flames, but for 6's i can only find indiglo gauges. So, I've read that the speedo will be right, but the tach off. You can fix that by buying a part for $100, or by swapping a resistor. Can someone tell me where this resistor is, and if the 99 cluster will swap in fine.

Don't know, however iirc, the oil pressure gauge is different on the V8s... -

seeing as how the 97 and 99 cluster design is the same, they should swap fine. dunno where the resister is tho, so my post is pretty much useless :(Comment
