  • T-Top Conversion

I'm going to be doing the t-top conversion soon. I noticed in the current guide (http://members.fortunecity.com/gripe...onversion.html), he just uses automotive body tape to close up the holes in the cuts.

I was wondering what the rest of you that have done the conversion have used?

Also, any tips on where to find a good headliner?

      Actually, found this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/93-02...ayphotohosting

Just wanted to confirm before buying, would it work on my 97 Camaro?

i didnt use anything for the holes.

i cut my stock headliner. very easy to do. just put the headliner up after u have the t tops installed and out the shape of the t-top with a pair of scissors.. cut the hard yellow stuff exactly to the t-top shape but leave the fabric a little longer. then u can glue the edges of the fabric to the back of the headliner.

I would use bondo to fill in the holes and gaps, then finish off with evercoat easy sand which you can find at most body shop and automotive paint stores.. its a better finish and easier to sand than bondo... paint sticks to it better too and doesnt leave a line when you do paint it.

I use it on all my paint projects that I do and LOVE IT! a lil pricey, but if you want a pro look, thats what ya want to go with...

and ur t tops go out monday btw

I used fiberglass and bondo. Evercoat would be better for finishing.

When I type T Top Conversion into the search box, it comes up with 146 threads, Im surprised there are anymore questions that need to be asked that havent already been covered 40 times.

I'm about to cut the roof off my car. I like to be clear before I do something like that.
