Which 4th gen Camaro looks better: 93-97 or 98-02?

This is in response to 98+ conversation.

I'm not a Camaro owner, but I always like the 93-97 look over the 98-02 look. The 98-02 are nice looking Camaro too so don't get me wrong but if given a choice I would go for the 93-97 look.

Why because:

1. It's sleeker than the bulky front end.

2. It looks more of a classic Camaro than a Chrysler Sebring.

3. It looks better at a side view.

4. It looks great in black or solid red.

5. It definately looks better in person.

I just think the 98+ is more up to date, Like I said in the 98+ conversion post.. I used to LOVE the 1997 Camaro. It was my fav year. Old look with the new dash. But after owning another 97, I got tired of the sharp lines and wanted to move on with the smooth lines.. Dont get me wrong, I still like the 97- camaros, but Im upgrading... lol

93-97... stock for stock.... if it has the right body kit, grill, and racing stripes, then i think the newer one can look better... but
aggressive sports car > catfish :)

93-97 looks like a cheap wannabe sports car. IMO, its next to impossible to make it appeal to members of the opposite sex that live in anything more than a double wide.

I agree, I dont like the pre-97 with kits or other than stock... But again, I like the 97 better than the 2010...

But has anyone seen the new challenger!!! uh, that was a wet-nap moment...

98 model hands down... i don't like the pointy front end on the 97 and below

as far as f-body goes i prefer the camaro for the 93-97 years and the firebird for the 98-02

98+ camaro

i almost bought a 97' but i think i would still like the 98+

the front ends just dont look right, dont know how to explain it, they look too skinny for the rest of the car

stock for stock, 97 is my favorite. SS hood on the 98+ looks awesome and beats a 97 SS.

Well, i have one of each. If the insides were entirely the same, id definitely take a 93-96 style... put two mint 4th gen's next to each other and it's hard to say the 98 style looks more aggressive. the 98+ss is pretty close though.

93-97 all the way. As Mighty Thor said, in stock trim the 93-97 just looks more like a sports car, where as the 98+ looks more pedestrian, per Thor's Sebring reference. plus, the LT1 and 3.4 sound better :P

love the 93 - 97 maro.

the front end is perfect. I love the hood, spoiler, and even the sleek side mirrors.
