Purchasing my first Camaro today

I am buying my neighbors white 1997 3.8 Camaro this afternoon for $2k :banana:. It is a great looking car, except the spoiler is cracked and the Camaro name plate under the spoiler is cracked. Can't wait to get started on fixing those and repainting the car. I will post some pics tomorrow.

190k miles on the odometer, but brand new 3.8 put in about 20k ago. 5 spd manuel.

Might be interested indeed sceneiskeen...thanks for the offer. I have noticed that the hatch is a little off center if looked at from directly behind the car. Not sure if it is the hinges that are not set correctly or what. Once I get it I am going to take it apart a little at a time to see if I can find the cause.
Once that is adjusted, I may definitely take you up on the offer.

Finally got some pictures last night.

However, went to get emissions test done this morning, and it failed with two obd codes: P0102; P0300.

Taking the car to nearest shop to run a diagnostics tonight.

Since I just bought it last night, I have not had a chance to clean it out or get rid of the old owners unwanted stuff. So all of the Nascar decorations are leaving asap; going to steam clean the carpet and seats. Taking the seats and console out this weekend to clean them...Lots to do, and only weekends to do it on.
