Re: Hood Repair.
I had a HUGE problem with getting way too much space between the nose of the hood and the front clip where they met when the hood was closed. Looked like crap. What I did was go to where the hood bolts to the hinges. There you'll find two slotted holes on each hinge (problem is, they're slotted to the inside of the car and not toward the front). What I did was take the tabs on the hinges that are "supposed" to fit in the small holes in the hood and bend them flat. After that, I took a dremel and hogged out about 1/2 inch of metal toward the front of the car (this made the hood adjustable from back to front) on all four of the slotted hinge mounting holes in a triangular shape to keep some of the side to side adjustment. What I found was if I left the hood bolts about hand tight, the hood lifts, when mounted back up, would actually push the hood to the farthest point out at the hinges (most toward the front). After that, it was just shifting the hood till it closed well, then line up the latch and bam! Looked stock.
I'll try and get a couple pics tonight, but in the meantime, this may paint a pretty decent picture. I hope it helps till then.
