Hey fellas, I'm looking at pulling my carpet to get ready for sound deadener. I started pulling the center console apart but couldn't figure out an easy way to get the center console out over the ebrake. I've noticed that some of the carpet i've seen is split at the front.
Can i just pull the carpet without pulling the ebrake/center console. Or what is the best way to do it.
You have to really pull back hard on your e-brake to get the console to clear it. I took mine off to clean under it.
But if you cannot pull it back far enough, for a 5-Spd, mine has one small section behind the airbag box that connects the driver/passenger side.

Yeah I just don't want to stretch my ebrake cable more than it already is :) My ebrake and slippery conditions = yay.
Yep, just pull back hard. It gets to almost vertical for removal of the center console. IMO, sound deadener is a complete waste of money. Do the doors and rear quarter panels/wheel wells and be done with it. I laid nearly 200 sq ft of butyl mat and 100 sq ft of sound barrier (foam) and I can't honestly tell a difference besides said areas. (Did it in steps)

Hello, so I changed the front bearings on the bird and the ABS inoperative light came on. I made a mistake of not removing negative battery cable. Now...
I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
