new paint!!

Turned the car in for a few days, Hurricane Ike came and it took another week; but finally here it is!!

I went with the Z28 paint scheme except I didn't get the side mirrors painted!

I wanted to make sure the pictures were real big lol. The ss hood was put as well right before the paint along with side skirts and a new front bumper.

I know theres a line gap between the hood and the bumper, i think it is my bumper reinforcement its old and has some damage from a previous incident and sags a little which is why the bumper does not line up. Hoping to get the part and fixing it soon.

Next task is redoing the window tint, thinking about getting some new weatherstrippings and some small details here and there that are driving me crazy.

Also looking for a grill for the hood scoop. Also how is the induction from the hood set up; right now the tunnels that run under the hood are covered but theres a section that looks like it could be cut out. It should hook up there to the stock air box?

Also going to black out the brake light on the spoiler to match with the black/white scheme!

What do you guys think?!!?

other than that it looks good man

not a fan of the rims they're too black

and you need an insert for that ss hood but you prob know that

i would have gotten the hood scoop painted black "intimidator ss"style and some black halos, then it would look mint!!

Yeah I'll get that vinyl decal soon and well the only reason i have the side skirts was because i have a big dent on sides below the door from when I first bought the car. The skirts were just to cover them up hehe. And yes black halos will come eventually too!

I'm going to hopefully get some 10 spoke SS rims but if not i'll just clean the rims up some.

Can you show a pic of where the dent was with the side skirt? I have the rockers kinda dented in, I was going to replace them with my donor..

thanks, once I get the new rims, redone tint, and fixed that bumper sag with some black halos, the exterior should be complete.

Im really happy with the paint job. gotta get it buffered and waxed soon.

ur scaring me. I just got an ss hood and I DO NOT want that gap.

The gap is, well I THINK, because of my bumper reinforcement its a lil damaged and it makes the front bumper sag a little bit. The hood is sitting just fine where its suppose to be, but the bumper isn't high enough to meet hood completely. gonna try to get the part somewhere and get it fixed this weekend, its driving me nuts.

Sorry to tell you man, but the hood is not adjusted right. On the first pic, look there the windshild meets the corner of the hood and fender, it needs to come down and forward. I know you think the hood just sits there, but you can adjust that alot more.

Yeah the passenger side headlight was slightly tapped by someone in the school parking lot. The dents were fixed but the headlight needs to be adjusted, hopefully this weekend.

Hmm Ill see what I can do with the hood and try to line it up correctly too.

I'll post a picture of it up for you Archer when I get home.

Looks good. Any major damage from Ike? I'm up in spring... neighborhood had some trees fall down, got power back a couple days ago.
