painting my drums

so after i got new rims it made my ugly *** drum brakes stick out.

they are pretty rusty and i want to know what i should use to get the rust off the surface so i can paint them.

A wire brush probably would do the most work to start off with...

use a wire brush, get as much dirt and rust off as possible, then paint them black and only black. They will look less noticeable which is what you want with drums.

I did mine black and used a wire brush and one of then green bads ,rub of as much as you can then clean it with some brake cleaner and rub some more,do it a few times over till there as smooth as ya can get them. PS mine look nice black ,cant notice them barely but the car looks way cleaner!!OH and i used the duplicolor kit for doing brakes and got two coats on the drums and three on the calipers and still almost half a can left,get some extra brushes tho at the dollar store or sumthing cause they tend to fall apart!!
