but it's hard finding a ram air kit thats under 400$
if i ever find a used one or find the $ to i will ABSOLUTELY go that route, however as it is i barely have enough money for my cam build up this spring, so one thing at a time.

the repair went well, took a while though (and this was only a small repair!)
it went something like this:
there was a huge crack across the nose of the scoops and some other minor stuff on the corners so first i ground out all the loose fiberglass in the crack, then i picked up some fiberglass body putty. I put sheet metal behind the crack and riveted it to the hood where it wasn't damaged. I then puttied the crap out of it (especially in the back cuz you can't see it anyways) Then sanded it down, which took the longest of all, then got some regular body putty to finish it off, and then sanded that down. Finally it got primed, painted (super expensive cuz it's gm color matched), and a final clear coat for the whole hood.
For a home job it looks better than i expected.
I also picked up some grills for the front and painted them silver since the hood didnt come with any.
crappy camera phone doesn't do it justice, just use your imagination.
