don't yell at me, i did a search for swapping gauges and how to remove the instrument cluster, but all i found was ppl asking how to make the v8 cluster work for their v6.
I just got a new white v6 overlay for my cluster i just need to know how to access the instrument panel.
there are 2 bolts believe 8mm. up top, take those 2 out, carefully pry off the cluster bezel (there are 2 clips on the bottom)
next there are 4 bolts I believe (same size) at all 4 corners of the cluster. take those out, pull cluster out. then you'll need a star bit (whatever its called) I cant remember how many of those there are. take those out to take the guage bezel out.

Pre 97 sounds to be a bit more involved. It required removing the panel under the steering wheel, the dashpad, and the plastic piece that goes around the gauges, headlight and hvac controls, then going at it with the torx bits to get to replacing the gauges. Like I said, all 7 and 10mm with the exception of the torx. in this particular project I think it's actually just a philips and a 7mm socket and the torx.
Well then I wouldn't think it optimal to have them running through the signal lights as signals. I would think it would put much unneeded wear on the halos and possibly cause them to burn out prematurely. I know that most of the wear on HIDs is turning on and off, that's why you don't see them in brights. Fluorescent has the same general idea as the HIDs, so I assume it would be a similar case.
