Has anyone ever thought about doing a T-top conversion but just removing the top bar and making one custom glass roof, like combing the the two ttops together but just solid glass? kinda like in a vette

You have to really reinforce the body to make it work.

Yep - hard top is for chasis stiffness. I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a good suspension.
