I think in a couple of weeks I'm going to change my car from white to black. When I was moving to my new house some shelves fell down from where they were waiting to be put up and made a good size dent on the drivers side and scratched the paint up and I had some dents from my wifes vehicle and some from parking in parking lots that dented it up and scratched up the passenger side and rear bumper. I also broke my driver side mirror. I picked up a SS spoiler awhile ago, so that will go on with the new paint job. The guy who is going to do it owns his own business and said he would take off everything like the ground effects etc. and do the jams and what he could get to in the engine bay. Also take out any dents for $1800 he said normally the cars he paints are $3500 to $4000 paint jobs. Said he only uses PPG paint and will prep the car well before painting. He will also do the buffing after it is painted. Sounds like a good deal to me and I think the car will look outstanding with the SS hood and new SS spoiler on there. Anyone have any thoughts about what color black would look the best? I want something that sticks out, my wifes 07' Saturn Vue is black but it seems like it doesn't have a good shine to it. Throw out some ideas for me please.

its all in the clear and the painter. PPG has this super flow clear.. looks like GLASS when cured. also ask to see what he paints with. just so ya know for sure. because to repaint my car I was looking at around $900 in materials... so your getting a killer deal. Keep us posted.

You'll never go back! There is simply nothing like it! Every time I wash my car, I fall in love with it again.

I read your write up when you fixed yours and painted it, and saw your pics with the SS spoiler it was oustanding. I'm going to go down and see some of the cars he has worked on and he said there is one he just finished up and he is getting ready to paint it , so I can see how his prep work is. He said he usually does older cars like some Novas and Impalas but I saw a picture of a 93-97 body style he did with stripes and it looked great.

My front is molded on so there is no lines, I think the black will look outstanding.

What do you guys think about filling in the back CAMARO lettering in the rear like the black panel mod(forget the name)? So there would be no camaro on the back. I wanted to do this last time but changed my mind at the last moment. Any thoughts?
