    i dont understand why they wouldnt make the ss hood functional..kinda stupid if you ask me. and what about the a T/A hood are they functional?

      You can see about the pins, but if you have all your stock hardware you should be fine, hood struts, rear latches and front latch working in good condition, I don't see how it is going to come off. I do check mine now and then but haven't had any problems. So it would be up to you if you want pins or not. I think VNF makes fiberglass hoods that are setup for pins if your going that route.

        Different car and design. But smokepanther is correct , I think having it in the fender is actually better, for my 96' Camaro.

          they didn't make it functional because your car, and all 98+'s, already have a gigantic intake under the front bumper, compared to the little slit at the top of the hood. 98+'s are primarily bottom breathers
