I've been hearing growing interest about what my current headlight setup is from some updated pics of my '02, so hopefully this helps:

dual halo projector assemblies from k2motor.com, smoked corner lenses w/ amber bulbs, and 8000k lows and fogs (left the highbeams halogen)

Blizzard242, to answer your question (i think the "beast in the making" thread got nixed) yes the fogs look exactly like the picture, i didn't enhance the image to make them look that way. They're a sweet crystal blue and excellent brightness, i love em. Ebay a set of 894 8000k hids and yours will look just like them

Looks good except for that front plate. Looks like you have the same setup I do, stainless front inserts behind the billet grille. Unfortunately, I got a couple tickets for not having the plate so I ended up zip tying it behind the grille and it doesn't look too bad.

            Re: headlights setup

thanks f-tothe-ill, i definitely agree and i wish va wasn't a two-plate state so i didn't have to have that plate junking up my grille. I had mine in the windshield for two days and got enough looks from 5-0 to change my setup right away haha. can you post a pic of your setup for me to compare?? I considered doing the behind the grille plate but wasnt sure how it would turn out. I have the slp license mount bracket i can still install if all else fails.

Any of you guys wanting hid kits check out ebay...tons of companies have them for as cheap as 60 or so per set, but just make sure you get a reliable american seller...i got cheated out of almost 200 my first try with a japanese company that sent me faulty kits and i couldnt return squat. do ur homework, thats for sure.

the smoke lenses are from afterthoughtsauto.com, they have some great stuff and a really nice girl in customer service that will help you out :)

unvmyrs, thanks for the compliment, the led's dont really bother me but if i ever get annoyed with them i'll definitely consider the "pure sex" look lol

anyone else have a similar setup they wanna compare?? I'm always open to improvements

Are these the smoked lenses you got? I hope so since they are the only ones I found on that site. They look great on your car, what size bulbs go in there?

yep those are the ones alright, they really pull the whole look of the front end together i'd definitely suggest picking some up. i can't remember the exact bulb number off the top of my head but its the same size as the stock signal bulbs, just amber color. you can get them anywhere, my mechanic had some handy and helped me throw them in

not a bad setup...ever get any unwanted attention from cops with it like that?

                      Re: headlights setup

Been driving around with it for months, even right by cops at the usual 10-14mph over with no problems at all. Got pulled over once for a tag light out in the back, but never said anything about the front plate. Sucks to have it at all but having it back there looks alright to me and sure beats the $60 tickets.

baller, when you did your hid swap, did you have to disable the auto headlights? I got an hid kit installed, loving it, but my bulbs are slightly different colors, which I heard is normal for the 1st couple of hours...But my passenger light flickers every now and then and I found here ( http://stores.ebay.com.au/Ultra-Visi...ing-Guide.html ) that i need to disable the auto headlight and drls... any help would be apreciated. Also, were yours 2 slightly different colors at all? Thanks for the 411.

currently i'm still running my setup with the auto headlights sensor running, but i've heard there can be problems like yours when you do. i've actually been having some problems like that with my passenger side lowbeam and my driver fog so i talked to my hid company and the guy strongly suggested i get a pair of igniting relays that work with the ballasts and make the hid's run much more efficiently (these usually come with hid sets that are more expensive and it's well worth it apparently). the technician assured me that the relays will make the lights come on more efficiently with no flickering, and that they should warm up and produce the truest color for the bulbs within about 10 seconds...overall, it's much better for the whole system. i'm getting them from his ebay company for 20 shipped each pair.

wow, we're both having trouble with the passenger side lol. Well, I am going to disable the drls and auto headlights. Ill let you know if it helps. I've been so busy modding my ss layely, can't wait to post up new pics. But anyways, do you also have hids in your hi beams? also, let me know if that relay thing fixes your passenger side problem. Thanks bro!
