  • Did the blinker mod

Been wanting to do this forever now. I always liked how newer, sometimes even older, cars had turn signals that toggled back and forth. So I decided to do it myself. Extremely easy, takes about 5-10 minutes per side, and only cost me about $5 for some wiring connectors.

Please excuse the cheesy video, I suck at video editing.

It's nothing special or new, alot of people do this to their cars, I just haven't seen it done on ours yet. It's just a simple cut and splice job, very easy for anyone to do. Here's my crude MS Paint drawing:

You're basically just cutting the ground wire from the smaller 194 bulb, and tapping that into the blinker wire going to the other 3057 bulb. That's it...

Neat and inventive. I like the blinker mod on the 93-96 Camaro tail lights. It's the synchronized ones, very cool.

Pretty sure I explained that in my first post. I like the way it looks... Plus it's a safety factor the way I look at it. I'm a very cautious driver, and I like my signals to be very noticeable.

you guys think it would be stupid to have the side markers on a 98+ bird blink with the turn signal? idk

No, I think that would look really good actually.

There's a couple videos on this page that show the side markers on 98+ blinking with the turn signal. The sell a kit that does this, but I'm not sure what the point of it is, seeing as in how I did the exact same thing at almost no cost.

Doing the ones in the rear are just as easy, it's the same concept. If I have time tomorrow I'm going to do those as well.

I think it would help people to see that your blinker is bright. they'll see ya lol
