man since those are so bright i would tint them darker than your current ones.

      Re: Gave in to commercialization..

Don't worry, the plan is to get them dark enough that it looks like another body part.

I don't have them on the car now. Like I said it was just a test fitting, so I don't have any pictures with the reverse lights on, though I do have one with the led reverse lights in my stockers, I'll have to find them. The plan is to get the car in the shop by friday, we'll see how things go.

I have 2 jobs and am a full time student. Before I had time, now I have money. I think we all know you never have both. Anyway, nowadays, this is the only way it will ever get done.

                Re: Gave in to commercialization..

                Here are some progress pics:

This is the big crack in old body work that I found out about.. The chunk wasn't gone, the body guy tapped it with a hammer to take it out and redo it, but the lateral crack was there.

So they took that out and refinished:

and refinished the antenna area as well because it wasn't looking so hot:

                and here it is painted!

                  lights:

Sorry I didn't realize my phone was on crappy pictures mode, so they are small and poor quality, but I didn't bring my camera the last time.

The spoiler and rear valance is painted as well and they look sweet, just didn't snap any pictures. They said it should be finished tomorrow afternoon, then I'll just put the last things back together and be set. Can't wait!

                    Re: Gave in to commercialization..

Funny, I was just going to post what everyone's thoughts were on these.... I was thinking of doing the smoke ones however, then maybe darkening them with night shades. I deff can't stand the reflectors however. Which ebayer did you buy them from.

Also, can anyone help me find a pair of these http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...NA:en%26sa%3DN

I was thinking of opening them up and paiting the surrounding part white, then putting the clear lens back on. Kinda like the look of the new recessed headlights on the vettes.

why do you want blinding taillights? arent the normal ones efficient enough to work? i understand the change in look i just dont get why brighter is better

                        Re: Gave in to commercialization..

Don't you think there might be an advantage to having much brighter tail lights when you're going to tint them black as night?

Got them from gt_racers. Incompetent, but so long as you avoid customer support, shipped quick and all that.

Yeah, my old lights were tinted very lightly, even at dusk, if you came up to the car you could see the red and white. I didn't want that with these ones, and if I went much darker on the stockers I would have some problems.

                            Plus LEDs look sweet.

Supposedly they will be done by 2 today, which is 50 minutes from now my time. Hope so, as I work at 3 and won't be able to pick it up after work as they will be long closed.

I'll get some pictures with the lights on soon as i can.
