I must say that looks ugly but anyway he prob separated the lenses by heating them up and then sanded off all the color on the plastic. I am not sure, only my guess.1997 Camaro LS1 RS

I don't know if "unvmyrs" wants to make his tails look like that, rather than just knowing how he did it.

I'm not sure about the newer lights, I would assume it's the same, but on my stock tail lights, it's not a red "coating." It's red plastic through and through.

yeah, i dont want to do that but i was just wondering. I don't think it *COULD* look bad if the paint was the right color...but not many people could pull it off, and I think the newer lights are also red plastic.
