  • New rims?!?!

    Hey guys,
im looking for some new rims cuz the chrome on my firebird's rims are cracking. I still want to buy chrome rims. If any body knows where to buy some decent chrome rims please let me know. i was considering z06 rims but the 9.5 width might stick out to far. idk. let me know. There are some zo6 rims on ebay i saw.

9.5 width is perfectly fine, hell people put 11s on their cars all the time

I like my 17 X 9.5" rims with 275/40/17 tires, they look great on F bodies.

you will be fine with 9.5" and it will look fine and not stick out. i have 17x11 w/315's on my rear and they stick out.

It does look bad@ss when having 17 X 11 on the rear , but I just would want to mess with rolling the fender and having to hammer in the inside the wheel well to get them to fit right. Also more expensive tires. 17 X 9.5 is more than enough. Wait I forgot mine is raised back up so maybe I'll look for a pair of 17 X 11's for mine in the rear.J/K like to rotate the tires. Plus if I want traction I have my 275/40/17 M.T. DR's.LOL

                  Re: New rims?!?!

Autos hold more power and the main reason having a stoke at 32(from a hole in the heart(birth defect),that wasn't detected/PFO) didn't help either. Weakness on the left side was having trouble pushing in the clutch, they also found a birth defect in my lower back , missing 2 bones, Pars Defect. I was going to do a G-Force tranny about 1 week before ordering it but had the stroke , I had blown up my 3rd gear before in my M5 shattered 3rd gear running FI at the time, so I was to beef up the M5. heres a pic of what happens to the brain when having a stroke. White area is the dead part of the right side of the brain.

I don't know about that one...Anyone i've ever known with a stick agrees with me, cuz when I had a v6, it was automatic, now I have my ss, its a 6 speed and any auto z28 I come across here doesn't have the GET UP mine does... I dunno... but im sorry for your condition, that sucks bad.

                      Re: New rims?!?!

For v6's the M5 sucks and the A4 will hold about a 100hp or more than a M5.

I think thats because you can spin your tires at a higher RPM while the auto will automatically switch gears.. but thats just what I think... makes sense

                          Re: New rims?!?!

It is because all WC T5's are rated at 300hp 300tQ thats in Chevys and Fords, there gears are weak esp. 3rd gear which is the one I shattered just running my powerdyne at around 10 PSI, at about 300HP to the wheels and 330 TQ.
