  • Home polishing valve covers/air intake?

can i just use a dremmel tool w/ a wire brush to polish that thing up to get some of its original shine back or will that be too much work?

a wire brush will help it look new again yes but you can't polish with a wire brush i would use a bench mounted wire brush over a dremel though

i am polishing my powerdyne right now i started with a wire brush

    then 220 grit
    320 grit
    400 grit
    600 grit
    800 grit
    1000 grit
    1500 grit
    and 2000 grit

i polished an old intake manifold doing the same thing looked amazing

its definitely time consuming, and its hard to say how long you want to spend on it. it really depends how nice you want it to look in the end. hours at least... dont forget to finish it off with some mothers aluminum polish (or a similar product)
