Not familiar with anything with the Firebirds but there is a set of black leather seats and inside door panels from a 98TA with black and red leather. Was this an option or something that the owner did aftermarket.
also the set is going for aroung $800 for the front seats and the two door panels. reasonable?
imo u should be able to get the whole set of seats for around 400 and door panels should only be around 200-250. custom seats maybe a little more but id say you should be able to get everything for around 900 even if its custom. just my .02
The red leather seats were a VERY rare option. $800 to me sounds about right if they're in good condition. If they're torn along the bolsters, then I would definitely haggle with the seller to lower the price. Here's a couple pics I had saved to show everyone what they look like.
If the ones you're talking about don't look like this, then they are aftermarket.. and in that case, $800 doesn't sound too bad considering the price to have an upholstery shop redo the seats.
thanks for the info, guy sent me some pictures. it has the red bottom seat bolster and the rest is all balck and the door panels are the same color pattern as u Van bibber. he said he was the second owner so maybe the 1st owner did a custom job on it, either way he has two set the red and black and all black set so well see
