I recently bought the automatic shifter adapter that removes the button shifter so you can mount a manual knob while pushing down to shift instead of pushing button. I think it looks alot cleaner. My question is: Can you shorten the shifter heigth at all? Stock I always thought it was a little tall and now with the adapter kit it definately is to tall for my tastes. I know with the manual obviously you can just cut it but with the plastic push down piece that releases the shifter involved with the auto don't wanna EFsomethin up,if you know what I mean. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are a few guys that have done it on LS1tech. I don't have the threads bookmarked anymore, but if you run a search there, it should pull up something.
Be sure to use quotations around the words when you search. I don't know what's wrong with their search option, but it's stupidly specific.
