Fixing a really deep scratch.

So I moved out of my old roommates place and couldnt get my car towed to my new residence until recently. I wound up finding this new and nice scratch.



Its on the rear drivers fender, it appers to be down to the primer. Is there any easy solution to fix this? Im not real good with body work, I've panel shot a couple fenders that turned out pretty well but im not sure what i should do on this. Any suggestions, ideas?

you can kind of see the scratch but not how severe it is. A better picture without the reflection might help some ppl.

Yeah that was taken with a cell phone, i'll try to get a better picture when its lighter out.

That sucks , you might have to tape off the area an sand it down , respray and use some clear. Or see how much a painter woulf fix it for, I bet it wouldn't be too much.

I'm honestly thinking about sanding down the entire car and repainting it all together. 10 year old NBM, starting to fade, little nicks here and there. What would be more fun than stealing my parents garage for a day or so to dirty it up a bit :)

A day or two? Man, you must have never painted a car, it will be messy for longer then a day or two...lol

Want it done right? Sand it down and Respray the entire panel.

I've done prep work and paint, would take me all of three maybe four days to have the entire car finished by myself.

Want it done right? Sand it down and Respray the entire panel.

Yeah, im heading to napa to pickup paint and activator. They seem to be the only place that actually knows/has the mix for NBM around here out of the 13 odd places i've called. Going to go ahead and start prepping the entire car, it needs its shine back anyway.

well the reason I said that was because in this post it says you know little about body work and have shot a couple of panels... nothing about painting an entire car. But either way, doesn't look like it'd be too hard to just fix that one panel.
