I pretty sure all camaros got them. I may be wrong though, as it doesn't seem like an "option". Probably the previous owner took them off because a lot of people don't like it and think that it looks cleaner without the side molding.

Yeah, chances are someone before you took it off. I feel like I have heard of people getting them from the dealer without the side molding on though... could have been an option?

all camaros didnt come with it, i am positive of that
hmm...Guess you learn somthing every day. I have never seen a brand new camaro with out side molding, at least on 98+. Not too sure bout the LT1 body style though...
