Dumb question

OK i know it is probably a dumb question but... on the 2002 collector edition trans am is the rear bumber made diffrent or is it just painted black (the bottom half)? I really want that for my car but it is not a gloss black like paint would be.

I'm not sure if the CETA bumpers are an unpainted section or if they have a flat black paint, but a lot of Trans Am guys repaint that part of their bumpers. Pretty much involves wetsanding and repainting with a flat or semi-gloss paint. It's referred to as the CETA mod.

on the trans am the bumper is different then on a firebird or formula
the section that is painted black is a lot bigger on a trans am
i personally think the mini CETA looks kinda dumb.

Well, the reason that the mini-ceta looks bad is because early 4th gen firebirds are ugly. but I do agree, the Trans Am ones look good painted black.

no i didn't want to do it unless i had a trans am bumper, you are right it would look VERY stupid on a firebird bumper
