Im also painting my calipers black and applying chrome "camaro" decals to it. I believe they are vinyl. For anyone with any experience or knowledge, how should these be applied and what are the steps in this process (painting --> decal application --> clear coat??)

I dont want these things pealing off.

And in the case that the caliper paint has clear coat in it already what do i have to do or watch out for... bc like i already stated, i dont want these things pealing off.

Yeah. The steps you have above are how I just did mine. So as far ask how long they will last I am not sure. But I went with the exact same theme, black, decal (although mine are firebird) and then clear. I used the duplicolor spray can caliper paint. 2 coats of black. Wait ~1 hour. Sticker. ~3 Coats of clear. I used high temp engine clear for mine because the parts store was out of "caliper clear."

I would just get some caliper paint that doesn't have any clear. Or just add another layer or two of clear on top to keep the decal on.
