i need a new shift boot..i have a 96 Firebird..i broke mine when changing my clutch a few months ago..the hole in my car is annoying..

i went on the GM parts web sites..and couldn't find one..

but i found this..

yes its a ton of money, but it says its for the 97-02..

My question is, are the center consoles the same in the 97's and the 96's?

The center consoles are different between 96-97, although im not sure if it would or would not work.

Id say, probably not gonna work.

ssms got a 97+ boot to fit on his 96.... but his is an auto not manual so idk
