my hinge is still for sale... lol... jp... but seriously... I doubt that the pin is your problem... I just took a firebird apart literally completely... and the hinge pin is very solid... the most likely thing in your case is that bushing that I sent you the link for... I might beat on the passenger hinge and see what happens... see what breaks and let you know... I can just tell from holding that hinge out of the car and in my hand that if anything was to go, it wouldn't be that pin, it'd be that bearing/bushing whatever... just givin ya my perspective

thanks T-mill..im gonna order one of those Rollers then! Do you know how to take out that pin and get to the roller? Dont i have to support the door, take out that big spring then bang out the pin..then i can get to the roller?

        Re: dorr problem (still) lol

Like I said, I've never done this exactly... but you will have to do this with the pin still in there as I don't believe that pin will come out easily, if at all... and as far as removing the spring... removing it will be the easy part, getting it back in there will probably be more tricky

I'm looking at the hinge I have and I just don't see how that pin will come out, would be alot easier if it did, but I'm not seeing it happening. Obviously (to me at least) it's possible to replace the piece you need since it is sold by itself, so hopefully it just clicks on... I'll post some pics of the hinge I have out of the vehicle so that you have a better idea of what you're dealing with since you only have a limited view of yours...

I agree that it looks like your roller is busted, but I don't think that would affect the way the door hangs. Is the door actually misaligned and rubbing the door frame, or does it just no shut smoothly? I thought my door was misaligned and sagging, but it was just that I needed to adjust the pin on the back of the frame, and the door was actually aligned properly.

I'm talking about the latch pin at the back of the cars door frame. It's just a torq bit. Loosen both screws slightly and adjust. Mainly guess and check until it shuts nicer.

But if the end of the door is actually rubbing the paint and metal on the car, then you'll probably need to do the same thing, but with the actual hinge up front.
