  • Installed a B&M trans cooler today.

Added a B&M trans cooler today. They really extend the life of the trans. The job was easier than I first thought. After test fitting the cooler in front of the radiator, I realized it would be easier to thread the big plastic tie downs if there were more holes in the mounting bracket of the cooler. So off the the basement and added three more holes across the top mounting flange, and same on the bottom. Cooler went in fine, and the new holes made mounting the cooler much easier because they all fall within the fan shroud opening.

Removing the top radiator support makes access to the top mounts of the cooler really easy. The bottom are done from under the car.

The B&M hardware was perfect, and the fittings for the radiator were just right.

If you are thinking of getting a trans cooler, the B&M cooler kit is a nice one.

Good to hear, thats the one I first installed before going to a standalone 45,000 BTU cooler mounted at the top of the radiator. I had my B&M 24,000 cooler piggybacked with the stock trans cooler , then mounted on the hood support section since the front is cut out for air flow.
