• Can Someone Identify These Gears?

I'm trying to find out what gears and what kind of limited slip I have here. This rear end came from a 2000 Z28. I'm hoping there's a guru out there that can decipher these numbers.

3.42s. The 12:41 *SHOULD* be the ratio pinion to ring.

Show a picture of the entire carrier. You can tell the carrier is 3 series by the wide ABS ring behind the gear.

I only have these 2 pics and unfortunately I've already closed her up. I was hearing all kinds of noises coming from the back of the car, when took the diff cover off, there was very little oil and it had a lot of little metal flakes in it. So I assumed the LSD was toast. I was hoping someone could tell me if it was in there so I could buy the proper replacement.

I'm considering this unit as a replacement. I wont be racing this car but I will drive it hard. Will this be strong enough?

10 bolt is a 10 bolt, you can do stuff to make it stronger , like a TA cover holds more fluid for cooling and puts more pressure on the main caps. Also using the ARP stud kit on the main bearing caps and use some good gear oil like Royal Purple. So far mines been great , even with my GM Motive 3.73 gears. Also a UMI tunnel mount TQ arm is nice, holds and plants the rear alot better.
