Anyone ever heard of police package V6? Well mine is! I got a reciept from Jeff Gordon Chevrolet from when they fixed my transmission mount and flushed my fluids and at the top under my VIN it said "special police package" I was like WTF. My car is as base as camaros get w/ power nothing but its a police package?
You know how bad Police Officers abuse their vehicles, we blew up a Crown Vic at the driving course once from doing chases on the road track, before that we were going J turns at about 40 miles per hour then we did the 50-55 MPH hard Left/Right brake turns 3 with ABS and 3 without ABS on , spent 12 hours out there about 20 Officers used the car. In the end it needed 4 tires , 1 when flat and the engine was smoking from somewhere this was in 110 degree heat also , we had to push it back in to a spot where they could tow it the next day. The midnight shift officers are the worst , I road with one of my buddy's in a new Impala and he would do burnouts, and we would go in vacant parking lots and do some donuts. One guy I knew who worked nights thought he could fit his car through sections of one of those mini malls and ended up stuck inbetween concrete pillars.LOL This is why the taxi cab companies will usually get the Crown Vics and anything used for under cover or highway gets auctioned off. I wouldn't want a preowned Police car there really beatened up on. Their special police packages are higher amp Alt. and I think gears and speed limiter, don't know about 3.8's back then since their was no way to take the speed limiter off back then. Even with Teh II's, that's why most Camaro's were Highway Patrol vehicles(DPS here) with V8's in them so they could go 150 MPH. I know when I left the County they had just got the Chargers( brown/black) and I never got to drive one.

Someone fat fingered something wrong in a computer somewhere. Special police package is option code B4C. I've never seen a V6 with B4C.
Oh, and I forgot, my camaro is Y87, dur. Doesn't have the body kit though.
