I have a 2002 3.8 5 speed. When the car is cold and I push the clutch in and push the stick shift forward into first or second, before it goes into gear there is a wurring sound and vibration like a worn out shaft bearing. It dosn't do it while it's in gear or after mabe 10 mins of running. It only does it while you put pressure on the shifter and before it goes into gear. Theres no problem getting it into gear. Once in gear the noise stops. If I take it out of gear with the clutch in and put it back in gear it dosn't do it. If I let the clutch out and try it again it does it. Syncros? Something with the clutch? Or a bearing in the tranny?

Re: Tranny vibration and noise
Well it's getting louder. Put the clutch in, push stick forward but not in gear, move stick back still does it in neutral. let the clutch out and it stops. Throwout bearing? As soon as it warms up it dosn't do it any longer.
