Trans Mounts keeps breaking

[99 Firebird]

I have a built tranny that shifts hard(which I love). Every 3 months I have to replace a broken tranny mount. I keep getting the stock replacement from the auto store made in pakistan . I see poly units, but they appear to be for the v8. Does anyone know where I can get one for my v6 or is there a mod I can do. I have a 99 firebird with the 3.8

Buy a poly mount, and look into the HOW TO's: scetion below and it will expalin how to put in a poly mount in, just have to notch the trans cross-member and thats about it and add some bushings to correct for driveshaft height.

the first stock replacment i got for my car. I ripped it clean in half in about 2 1/2 months.

at that point i got a solid one.

Or if you don't want the vibration of polyurethane, get a mount from GM.

the poly ones are great and don't vib when you use some bushings around it. sway bar bushings are what I have seen used. I have an m5 here at the shop that has just that exact thing done and it is nice and smooth

Does the bushing/s go around the lower bolt or upper bolts??

took me a week to rip thru a poly lol. i love changing them
