I took out my 3.08 open rear end and put in a 3.42 with the torsen. Swap went pretty good, but the rear is making some noise. Its not whinning, and its not very loud. I guess the best way to describe it is that its just louder than the old one. I figured having more gears in there might be a little louder, but I didnt no if it was normal or not. Are you suppose to hear it at all? It only had 54k miles on it and was out of a 2002. I changed the fluid before i put it in and used royal purple. Just curious if something is wrong with it or if this is kinda normal. Thanks.
