You better understand that 93-97 axles and 98+ axles are DIFFERENT because the rear brakes are different. The 98+ axle is shorter.

Nope. Rear disc became standard in 98, and were a different style from the 93-97 rear discs. All part of the redesign/restyling.

I know when I looked up Moser axles they list them from 93-96 and then 97-02 , so thats what confused me.

They are idiots. So they finally figured out that one axle didn't fit 93-02. All you have to do is look at the GM part numbers. (Which is what I did later.) But they INSISTED that I was not installing it properly. The axle was dimensioned for 98+, and was too short. The shop mechanic was pulling his hair out trying to put it in. The shop owner put the GM and Moser axles next to each other and it was obvious. I talked directly with Moser and they told me I was wrong. I won't buy anything from Moser since.

Sounds good, thanks for clearing it up , I still see Moser axles in Summit listed 93-96 axles. LOL. I wonder though if people have switched to rear disc brakes if the 98+ would work or is it the entire axle housing the problem they won't fit? Just wondering. I probably asked you before and have forgot. I'll be up in your area next week , if your going to be home PM me your # again and I'll give you a call to do some programing on your PCM. You'll be amazed at what 4-6 degrees of timing(total 28 degrees) will do since its colder old. You'll pick up 20-30 WRHP in a flash, LOL. ESP. with your 3.73's you'll be burning some rubber.

You should help me with my timing too. I can do fueling but I'm not quite sure wtf I'm doing with my spark.

                        Re: Axles

Just depends on the engine , most have agreed N/A 28 degrees is perfect for thm and going over that won't improve HP. Like said can't comparea old V8 to a newer V6.
