    m49 tranny

    i have a 96 firebird with the m49 tranny and wanted to know if anyone new if the bell housin comes off the tranny so i could pull the motor or if the bell housin serves another purpose any feedback will be helpfull

    the bellhousing is removable from the transmission, but the transmission has to come out with the bellhousing on because the slave cylinder is bolted through the housing and into the transmission
