Ok, found a youtube vid pretty quickly. Apparently they're right there when you take the tranny pan off. Looks like it's pretty much plug and play.. I haven't looked yet but anyone know where I can get these solenoids and how much they should cost?
Yes 1st and 2nd are different than 3rd and 4th, you could buy a TRansgo shift kit and install it while you in there, along with a Vette servo. You can set the firmness to your liking, will help the clutches out also.
08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
When I'm installing them, is the 1-2 solenoid different from the 3-4? Just wondering if I can accidently mix them around.
4 shift solenoids on the valve body 2 up shift and 2 down shift. Both the up shifts are the same and next to each other, same with the downshifts at the other end of the valve body.

LOL, no just like the way the car performs with them added, so why hes under there why not add the 2 for less than a $100.

Ah, I didn't know there was four. Thanks for the info.
Steve, if I could afford it right now.. sure. But I'm just barely scraping by with this mortgage payment and stuff I have to repair on the car before I can make it better.
Ok, when I'm looking these parts up.. I can find the 1-2 and 3-4 easily enough. But there's a 3-2 PWM solenoid and a TCC solenoid. Those are the only one's I'm finding. I'm still confused as to what I'm suppose to buy to fix my problem.

Yeah definitely. My brother just recently got a shift kit installed in his IS300. He called me when he got home because he was all excited about it since it really made a difference in his car. He said he's chirping the tires through the gears now. It's a semi auto too so I bet he's having fun.
Ok Brian, apparently I could open it here at work.. These computers are usually really restricted. Anyways, I really liked that article. Haven't read all of it yet but it cleared up a lot of questions on the first couple pages. Found a pair of solenoids on ebay for 22 bucks plus like 5 for shipping so I'll be good to go.
Ok, that was way easy to do. I got a surprise pulling the left one out, didn't know it was spring loaded. I pulled the pin from the solenoid, went to set it down then got oil thrown across my forehead as the solenoid flew out.
It's fixed. I had no problems driving around and the shifts were as smooth as they've ever been. And I found what was making a clunking noise in the back while I was under there too, broken rear end link bah. Picked up some new ones on the test drive so it was almost like 2 birds with one stone.
As always, thanks for your help guys. I really appreciate it.
