another symptom of the tcc is not shifting into overdrive/ or not causing converter lockup to happen in overdrive, hence the change in your rpms. One way to tell is if you can hear the converter lock and unlock prior to the transmission heating up. Lemme know if you have any other questions.

You can also do a Transgo shift kit which is 3rd&4th bands and a corvette servo which is 1st&2nd bands. It will make your shifts firmer and quicker which will make the tranny last longer in the end.
