No Start After T5 Swap

Finished my a4 to t5 swap today...everything went in correctly but when it was time to test it and crank nothing happened i think the car still thinks its an a4 and thinks its in gear like drive or something...

I am doing this at my friends shop and there helping me out...we checked everything possible...battery, voltage etc...you name it...I however am NOT using a nss (neutral safety switch)....but i am using a t5 ecu... i tried both ecu's and no difference and also no security lights....

We found out the starter cranks when we use a probe on the starter relay...it cranks but doesnt start...my friend thinks it has something to do with the alarm but i doubt it...does anyone think if i wire up the nss or jumper the a4 gear selector harness it would work? my guess is that since the symptom its showing is like being in a gear and trying to start with the a4

Btw im open to any suggestions but i cant do anything at the shop till monday morning...also this is on a '94 3.4 camaro

I think you need a neutral safety switch so the car knows its in gear, I would hook it up.

Yeah x2 try to wire up the nss, to see if it fires up, no security lights or anything?

yep thats what i thought steve..soon as i get there tomorrow thats what im gonna do...i have a switch but its not wired up...first im gonna follow meatyshells write up about jumping the auto gear selector...if that works then ill go ahead and run wires for the switch

and nope no security lights..and thats with both ecu's...soon as i turn they key the security light shuts off as usual

anyone have anymore suggestions just in case?....i dont wanna get there tomorrow and run out of things to try...

I'm 99.9% sure its the switch, because its wired through your PCM, I had to add a switch when I went from a M5 to A4. Gear selector should be easy. Good luck.
