  • Tranny mounts...

So. I replaced mine in the end of July, then again last week because it tore in half. And now I turned, and felt it break again. Shifter bouncing 4-6" when I shift... wtf!? What am I doing wrong here? Or did I blow out my motor mount s?

Install a poly mount and be done with it.

Don't launch hard till you replace it.

Would this be the right one to get a poly?

Looks to be right, you will have to notch your trans member to make it fit, theres a write up in the How to's.

Alright. Seems pretty simple. Should be done by the weekend.

Its pretty simple, you shouldn't have any problems with it.

Notch isn't the right word. I had to cut probably about three inches deep to make it fit...

Expect to "feel" the drivetrain a little more with poly mounts. Especially if you go poly for motor and/or torque arm mounts. I love that feeling though.

Most OE replacement type trans mounts are JUNK. Either go aftermarket polyurethane or GM 1LE

Well my poly gets here tomorrow. Hope it works out well. Somehow the stock mount has lasted longer than either replacement..
