The trans went in my brother's Firebird yesterday, and I wanted to ask a couple things. Car is a 96 auto chicken. I'm pretty sure the 3.4 trans that we have wouldn't work. I remember reading that the input shafts were different or something. However, I found a lower mileage trans out of a 2001 Camaro and wanted to ask if there are any differences between the 96 and 2001 4l60e. I can see from pics that it has a removable bell housing that the 96 trans does not, but I don't know if there are any other differences.

Pretty sure the 4l's are the same from 96-02. Might be wrong though... -

96'-02' will work , I have a 02' in my 96' works just fine.08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
