I just got the same clutch installed. It really surprised me how smooth the engagement is as well as the pedal being a lot lighter. Have fun.

As I think I've mentioned before, you'll blow the transmission long before then. The T5 is only rated to 325 ft-lbs. Stage 3 or Dual Friction clutch is all any 3.8 owner needs... </font>[/QUOTE]There is an article in HOT ROD this month about the T5. They say it is only rated to 265 lb ft. THeir figure was out of a fox body stang though. Where did you get your figure from?

From what you say, I should have gotten a Centerforce. My spec III is hard to drive in high density areas. I am having trouble getting used to it. I wish I had something that was more stock feeling.

There were three different T5's put in the F-Body. The first two were used in V6 and V8 third gens, the third was used in the fourth gen V6. Their torque ratings were considerably different... I don't have those figures in front of me now but I'm thinking the older ones were rated to 250 and 275 ft-lbs. The strongest is the newest at 325 ft-lbs.

I'll see if I can try to dig up the book I have that lists these sorts of things. "How to Tune and Modify Your Camaro 1982-2002" by someone (don't remember); that book is a powerhouse of hard-to-find specifications about our cars.
