well. i have to get my tranny rebuilt soon. my mechanic quoted me 1200 for everything. TC, clutch packs, bore valve bodies. the whole 9 yards. is 1200 an okay price for all that?

I believe between 1000-1500 for OEM rebuild is the range!
shouldn't be too much more than that for race components like kevlar bands and such! -
Yeah, that sounds like a decent price. As far as racing upgrades, like a kevlar band, make sure the guy has had experience with thoes upgrades to the 4L60E. Transmission mods need to work together, just like all the mods on the car work together. LS1 Speed sells new race-prepped tranny's for 1000, 1500, and 2000 respectively for stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3 trannys. this doesn't come w/ a TC tho, just the tranny itself.2001 Arctic White Firebird<br />More mods than I\'m allowed to list!Comment
