13) Almost done! Put the NEW pinion shaft in, making sure that the hole for the screw is aligned. Put the screw in, and tighten it down... tight.
If he is talking about the piece I think he his.... how the HELL do you put that pinion shaft ( rod that holds the axles in place and makes sure the c clips dont drop out) back in. Do I have to freeze (to shrink it a little) or something. I can't even get this thing in when the case is not in the car.
I'm cheap I'm putting in 3.42s without a LSD and just reusing the same diff. I've spent about four hours (most of them cursing and crying) trying to get this little rod in place , but it just won't fit. Does anyone know how to get this rod to slide back in? This is the only thing holding me back now and it is really starting to piss me off. I would have had this whole thing done in about 2hrs if it were'nt for this thing.
