i think a regular stock tranny would be fine for you... you dont need a race preped tranny. get another stocker and while its out throw a converter in it as well

theres a thread where nino is selling his tranny... 50K miles and only 300 bucks. new higher stall converter will run you 400-700 depending on brand, or you can use your stock one.

P1810 TFP Valve Position Switch Circuit (GM)
P1810 on 7.4L diesel, Pressure Switch Manifold
P1810 on all other, TFP Valve Position SW. Circuit Malfunction
P1810 No TFP manual valve position switch
P1810 TFP Valve Position Switch Circuit Malfunction
Thoes are the definitions I found on the internet for P1820. From what I can find TFP is Transmission Fluid Pressure. That is the funny rectangle shaped thing near the top of the transmission with 5 bolts holding it on in this picture.
It could be as simple as the wiring harness that goes to that sensor is burnt up, or the sensor is bad. Maybe just some gunk buildup in the valves under the sensor. Your best bet is to take it to a transmission shop and have them take a look at it. Or, if you're feeling frisky, take the pan off and see how the wiring is doing. The wire harness is submerged in the tranny fluid which can get pretty hot. So it is not uncommon for it to damage the wiring harness.\'96 Camaro Convertible

the 4L60-E is the same auto tranny used in both V6 and V8 f-bodies. the only difference between the 2 is the bolt housings. www.ls1speed.com is the website for the tranny's, as well as other LS1 stuff.2001 Arctic White Firebird
More mods than I\'m allowed to list!
