  • Just Installed My Spec Stage III........

Well, i can't really give her, cause i have to break it in for a while, does anyone know exactly how long i have to break it in for? But from what i saw so far, the thing grabs great.... the only bad thing is i think my mechanic forgot to put some bolts up on the tranny cover,..... cause at low rpms i'm hearing a rattling coming from underneath.....kinda scary, but i hope he didn't screw anyting major up.

I will get a better idea of how it grabs when i get my supercharger back from powerdyne, hopefully i can do as much driving as possible within the weekend, i get the blower back tomorrow...and then i'll start giving her...

    i'll keep u guys psoted.

I believe according to manufacturer it requires 500 miles of normal driving to be properly broken in..

Cool, thanks for the tip..... you know what i also noticed after i got it installed? The clutch is NOT stiff at all......it is actually less stiff than the stock one....and its engagement is more closer to the floor, whereas before i would probably just have to push the clutch in like half way and that would have been good enough to shift.

i hope my mechanic put it in right, that's not something i really want installed wrong.

but i'll try keep you guys posted..

      thanks again black98v6

Your clutch is a good one, I love mine too! The nouise you are eharing is more than likely chatter". The clutch wants to either be all the way engaged or disengaged. It's the nature of the beast, the aggressive disks make it more difficult to drive on the street. In about 500 city driving miles, it'll be ALOT better, I promise. The clutch disk doesn't have much affect on how hard your peddle is, that's part of the hydraulic stuff, I didn't mess with mine. You could get adjustment done to your master cylinder to make it a little "better", but why? It will still "chatter" after 500 miles, but you'll also get betetr at driving it so it doesn't chatter as much.
