Yay, clutch dead. Recommendations?

Anything over 1/3 throttle and the car stutters and won't accelerate. I know nothing about replacing a clutch, is there anything special I need to know (resurfacing the flywheel is a good Idea I've heard)?

I want something that will take much more abuse than the stock clutch, any recommendations? So far I'm looking into a star clutch (anyone have the web address?) or a centerforce. I don't want to spend more than $400 so if you know of a good place to buy let me know.

I did, helped me decide on the SPEC stage 3 or 4 (cheaper than the dual friction and people seem to be happy with it). If anyone knows of a good place to order from that would definately help.

I spent about 430 for my dual friction and centerfroce throw out bearing including install...acutally paid 200 even for the install, 230 for the clucth and the bearing...if you look around you can get dual frictions cheap..i know i did...and IMO its worth putting more in...i've gone throw 2 stock clutches because my engine put out more than the clutch can handle..i've had the dual friction for over a year now...still run and lanches great and feel alot better than the first week of my new oem clutch when it was replaced the last time

I got it at this race shop called Bushhog Racing here in houston. Wasn't a net order, for me anyways. The one thing is, I got it at cost...basically Bushhog gave it to me for wat they paid for it...wholesale I guess. All I'm saying is look around, call around, haggle or find you a hook up...they're out there..just have to look...well worth the effort in this case
