OK, I have been practicing my launches and Ive come to the conclusion that I either a) suck or b) I need better tires (215s cheap ameritek).

I am droping the clutch at 1500rpms and getting pretty bad spinning. At what RPMs do you all launch your cars and what tires do you have?

I launch at about 2200, you have to find the happy medium of loosing a little traction and not bogging you engine. If you launch too low, you can spin, but when you catch your engine bogs, I think thats right anyways. I remember reading it somewhere.

Also I think this should be in the drag racing section.

people that dont understand why they cant launch their cars on cheap, hard, narrow, touring tires meant to be on a ford taurus for driving across the country baffle me.
