WHAT DID THEY DO TO MY CAR?

I had 3.73 gears installed today. The gears that they actually installed seem to be 3.23 gears. That is what I had before and there is no difference in the acceleration. On top of that when you turn the tires the driveshaft moves a little bit and then stops. There is also alot of play in the axel when you push it in and out and when you move the wheel. Also when you turn the tires you hear a loud clunck. What did they do to my car? :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: this is [img]graemlins/bs.gif[/img]

What were the numbers on the top of the new pinion and side of the new ring?? If the last for numbers were 13 42 then they were 3.23's.. What you do is take the 42 and divide it my 13 and it gives you the gear ratio.. For 3.73's it should be 11 41.. these number should be on the top of the pinion and side of the ring..

Did anybody with a 3.4 notice a big difference in acceleration right after you got your gears installed.

Well $hit.. The 1st time I went to do my gears and LSD I had a missmatched ring and pinion.. Ring was 3.73 but the pinion was 3.23.. needless to say we just put the Lsd in with the 3.23's..

Oh yeah there is a big difference between 3.23 and 3.73. They accelerate much harder.

Yeah, I feel no difference in acceleration from my old gears. the new ones also slip teeth everyonce in a wile when im driving down the road.

I did I noticed a huge difference from 3.23s-3.42s, about .4 consistently.

I also noticed a huge diffrence switching from 3.23s to 3.42s. Off the line you can definetly feel it.

I went down there today and they said that a little bit of movement is normal? Who knows? I am not going to mention the gears until about 300 miles until you guys say that they break in.
