First of all, you don't break in gears to feel the difference. It should be INSTANTANEOUS. 3.73 should pull hard compared to 3.23. You need to figure out if what they put in there are really 3.73's. Sounds to me like they aren't. My brother went from 3.42's to 4.56 in his T/A and it feels like the car wants to rip the road in half. Don't wait 300 miles, this is dumb and they may say, "Why didn't you bring them in earlier?"

I agree.. The breakin point is there so you dont gun it right off the line or down shift from 5th-3rd gear on the highway and shock the rear end.. You should be able to tell your car is accelerating better.. Just launch regular and when you shift into second hit it.. dont break the tires loose for that is shocking the rear end.. You want the 300 miles so the gears can get a grove worn in.. my gears made a little whine for the first 100 miles or so but after that it has went away.. I have about 500 mile on them but still dont want to launch hard in them from a stop.. I hit it at about 2500 in first and when I shift to second the rear end goes everywere.. That never did that before with my old gears after I got the LCA's and posi.. Now everytime I hit second it makes my rear end loose trackion and ****.. It was cool last night I ran a LT1 on the highway from like a 50 role and down shifted into 3rd and sprayed 3rd.. I put about 10 cars on him and when I shifted into 4th I barked the tires.. Of course I was sprayin but it was cool as hell.. I was never able to bark 4th gear sprayin with the 3.23's yet alone bark 2nd and 3rd..

do you understand the logic behind gears? they are made out of metal and there is no way they can really "break in" and be noticeablly different. just not possible. maybe your expectations were set too high and thats why you didnt notice. now that they have been brought down a little you notice a difference? so infact it was not the gears that are broken in it is your expectations. :D

I hate to chime in here and slap you in the face but. Gears are like riding a bicycle. When you change them you feel it INSTANTLY. NO LAG, NO WAITING, NO BREAKIN. THEY ARE JUST THERE. I dont think your listening to what people are telling you. Maybe your just scared to questions the work, that by everything you said is already SHOTTY AS HELL. My rear end does not make noise. IT NEVER HAS and if it does, then there is something wrong. GO BACK and TALK TO THESE PEOPLE. NUT UP... Jesus

Go to that place and wreck havok. Make them redo everything while you watch, make them do it right. You're paying money, it's your car, so let those suckers do their job right.
