Has anyone ever priced the Zexel Torsen LSD and 3.42 gears at GM Parts Direct?
If so is it cheaper to buy them there than at SLP or other places. Also, anyone have the part numbers for these parts so I could look them up at GM Parts Direct?
I am thinking it may be cheaper there, my friend got his OEM rotors for his Z06 from there and got a great deal on them.
SLP CAI, K&N, Whisper Lid, 180* thermo, manual fan switch, 3.42 gears, Auburn Pro LSD, Wester\'s PCM Tuning, TSP Rumbler, High Flow Cat. Best Time: 9.909@71.58 (1/8 mile)
Yeah I found the price for the 3.08 (they can only give you the part numbers for your car, according to the VIN, so they sent me the part number for the 3.08's instead of 3.42's) and it was $350 or so. That is pretty steep so I assume the 3.42's will be in the same range The gmpartsdirect route is a no go.

Yes it is the same thing. I was just trying to find part numbers for gmpartsdirect so I could see if they sell it cheaper. gmpartsdirect is a lot more expensive.

I want a Zexel Torsen Diff. sometime down the road as well.. I think I'll stick with the used one for 100 bucks rather than nearly 600! Wouldn't you all agree that would be the best bet? I understand the Zexel Torsens don't need much servicing.
Also how hard are these to install myself? Has anybody here done it?
